There are a wide variety of mutual funds catering to socially responsible investing, but until The Hayek Fund there was not a portfolio devoted to free market principles.

While managing the Arquitos Value portfolio, a value-oriented Spoke Fund®, I noticed that entrepreneurial corporations seemed to outperform the overall market. As a free market conservative, and former employee of The Heritage Foundation, that made complete sense to me. It's logical that companies who believe in capitalism and creative destruction would be more profitable year in and year out. But how could I choose a portfolio of companies that most epitomized free market principles?

I found my answer in the idea that a company should put their money where their mouth is. If these companies supported free market principles, they should financially support free market organizations. From this research, The Hayek Fund was born. What better way to support entrepreneurial corporations than to become part owners in them?

I feel just as strongly about free market principles as I do about investing in corporations that support them. That's why I have a significant personal investment in The Hayek Fund. I hope you'll take a moment to explore the rest of the site and learn more about The Hayek Fund and how it's managed.
